Copyright Theft
Perhaps we should be flattered by the number of people including dealers who continually infringe our IP (Intellectual Property) rights by using our copyright images, but we do not find it amusing, and will take legal action against any copyright thieves.
gainesvillecoins.com
Gainesville Coins is just one of the many coin dealers, bloggers & websites worldwide who commit copyright theft by using our copyright images without our permission. They have repeatedly used different images, without permission. On their website, a page of which we reproduce here, they are clearly using our 1985 1oz Panda coin photographs.
They have added text over the images to claim them as their own. This is totally dishonest and misleading.

1985 1 oz Gold Chinese Panda – Sealed In Original Mint Plastic.
This 1985 1 oz Gold Chinese Panda comes sealed in the original mint plastic. Struck from 99.9 percent fine gold, these coins are legal tender in China. They come from a low mintage of 55,539. This coin is also IRA eligible. This is a stock photo only.
Front/Obverse
This side features the Temple of Heaven in Beijing. This temple is in a large park in Beijing and the most important building is the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests, which is on this coin. Chinese Emperors would come each year in early spring to pray for good harvests and national prosperity.
Rear/Reverse
This shows a Panda playfully swinging from a bamboo branch.
What’s Wrong?
It is dishonest and unethical to pirate and steal other people’s work by using high quality copyright photographs without the owner’s consent. We can partially understand why they do it; it is quick and easy (but then so is robbing people).
