mexicanpesogoldcoins.com Repeatedly Using Copied Images

Copyright Theft

Perhaps we should be flattered by the number of people including dealers who continually infringe our IP (Intellectual Property) rights by using our copyright images, but we do not find it amusing, and will take legal action against any copyright thieves.

mexicanpesogoldcoins.com is just one of the many coin dealers, bloggers & websites worldwide who commit copyright theft by using our copyright images without our permission. On their website, a page of which we reproduce here, they are clearly using our Mexican 2 Pesos Gold Coin Obverse and Reverse, Mexican 20 Pesos Obverse and Reverse, Mexican 10 Pesos Obverse and Reverse and Mexican 50 Pesos coin photograph.

The Mexican 2 peso gold coin was first minted in 1917 until 1947 and then it was minted again in 1945. To date the easiest mint year to find is 1945. The coin is highly popular with collectors and investors alike.

The obverse of the Mexican two peso gold coin shows the year it was minted with a display that says “DOS PESOS” and a brach on the bottom. The reverse depicts an eagle eating a snake on top of a cactus which represents Mexico’s coat of arms. The words “ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS” are shown across the coin.

What’s Wrong?

It is dishonest and unethical to pirate and steal other people’s work by using high quality copyright photographs without the owner’s consent. We can partially understand why they do it; it is quick and easy (but then so is robbing people).
